A team from the DLNR State Historic Preservation Division joined FEMA staff to survey structures in Lahaina's Historic Landmark District.
There is optimism that some of the most notable historic structures can be rehabilitated.
HDOT's Mākaha Bridge Project will will close off access to the Mākua-Keawaʻula section of Kaʻena Point State Park, 8pm Fri Sept 29 - 8pm Sun Oct 1. The park will be CLOSED during this time, as no through traffic past Kili Drive will be available.

The BLNR, on Fri, approved a proposed settlement by the Albert Trust parties to pay a fine of $117,472 for the Nakoa boat grounding that occurred in February.
The incident damaged > 100 coral colonies and 1,900 square yards of live rock on Maui’s west coast.
Accurately tracking the complexity of coral reefs has long been a difficult task. Photogrammetry has helped to change that. This tool gives DAR the ability to gather a much wider range of data to monitor and protect reef health.
