I had already shied away from posting much on here after the buyout, but with today's news this'll probably be my last post (already uninstalled from my phone).
Anyway, follow me over at @[email protected] on mastodon if you wanna.
If not, ๐ซก
Twitter tonight has some serious "everyone gathered around grandpa's bedside at the hospice center" energy except everyone is also making fun of grandpa.
Eh, doesn't sound super interesting imo.
Maybe useful in some situations but it's just dropping resolution and trying to get a bit of IQ back with RSR, along with applying anti-lag to help a bit more with latency.
@Snipe4hire@lookingfortheto Ah yes that's a classic.
Along with a description of the problem followed by "works for me"
Or "wontfix"
Or most commonly, no response at all
@takanashikiara@Bottomfr4gg3r Ooooh what kinda floor did you use?
Whole grain hardwood? Organic carpet? Or did you go with store brand linoleum?
(Looks tasty!)
I think #DayoftheDevs pretty much sold me on the #SteamDeck.
Almost every game being shown was using a Steam Deck instead of a laptop or a tower.
As one who likes portability and bringing games to parties, I think I might have to get one this holiday.
(still haven't held one tho)
Mastodon really needs a "default" server imo. As is there's a ton of choice between them (which is fine!) but it can be a bit overwhelming.
I could also stand up my own but it seems like more work than I wanna deal with.
@JirayD I don't understand it, honestly.
If AMDs numbers are accurate, it's within 10-20% of the 4090 in raster, even tying it in some games, but at a much lower price.
To me, that seems like more than enough. Would be nice if it were more but it's not a disappointment at all.
Oooh, little #steamdeck bugginess.
If you have the refresh rate lower than 60 and a game triggers the keyboard, it'll swap the refresh rate back to 60.
This blacks the screen for a set, and after you confirm with the keyboard, it swaps back to the set refresh rate.
