🔻 Yesterday the Pentagon classified its own press office.

Read that again. The building where military officials brief journalists — for decades — was designated a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility overnight. Reporters are now banned. Escorts required to walk the hallways. Anyone who publishes information not pre-approved by authorized officials will lose their credentials permanently.

They didn't restrict access. They made the ROOM itself classified.

The last time a press office was converted into a SCIF was September 10, 2001.

In the same 24 hours:

— Trump called Netanyahu and screamed. The word used was "crazy." He told him "everyone hates Israel." He demanded troops pull back from Beirut. Netanyahu refused.

— IRGC released a statement claiming the destruction of two U.S. forward operating bases. The Pentagon has not confirmed or denied.

— Hezbollah engaged Israeli forces inside Beirut for the first time since the war began.

— The USS Nimitz carrier group went dark. No position update in 14 hours.

You are not being told what is happening.

The room where you USED to be told — is now classified. The journalists who used to ask — are now outside the building. The information that used to flow — now requires pre-approval from people whose names you will never know.

They classified the room because what is being discussed inside it cannot be explained to you without revealing that the situation is no longer under control.

A president does not scream at an ally unless the ally has done something that cannot be undone.

A military does not classify its own press office unless what it is planning cannot survive public scrutiny.

A carrier group does not go dark unless it is moving into position for something that has not been announced.

I find it so incredibly offensive that some musicians don’t even want to celebrate the 250 year birthday of the greatest country on earth. A lot of these people truly haven’t a clue what has been sacrificed for this country or how many Americans gave everything so they could live the lives they do today.

This nation was built and defended by generations willing to fight, bleed, and die for freedom, opportunity, and the ability to speak openly including the freedom to complain about America while benefiting from everything it provides.

Celebrating 250 years should not even be controversial. It’s about honoring the people who built this country, defended it, and kept it standing through every challenge thrown at it.

Loving your country is not a bad thing, no matter how hard some people try to manipulate and convince you otherwise. Pride in your nation, its people, and its sacrifices is something to be proud of and worth standing up for. Screw anyone trying to shame people for loving America.
