Not all faith is equal.

It matters greatly what you place faith in.

Perhaps the most common attack on faith is to misrepresent it as without evidence or "blind," made-up.

As we see here, there are indeed made-up faiths. (Guy scribbles creed on napkin and tweets it.) Such faith is as ludicrous and worthy of mockery as the atheists claim.

By contrast, faith in the God of the Bible rests upon thousands of years of tradition dating back to first-hand eye-witness accounts, reformational exegesis, and - most importantly - a reasoned analysis of creation itself.

Real faith isn't made up. It's a product of discernment. Real faith is trust in revealed truth. Just as you take a step without doubt in the ground where your foot will fall, real faith rests upon the *knowledge* that God is real and keeps his promises. It's not a guess. It's not a wish. It's not a roll of the dice. And it certainly isn't something you crowd source. It's confidence in his Word, as He inspired and passed through the ages, not as you devised to justify your sin.

To the glory of his name, even blasphemy serves to prove his Word true.

"For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths." - 2 Timothy 4:3-4

"But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people." - 2 Timothy 3:1-5
