Thanks @AngelaHanks for putting this plainly. Selling off parts of Ed to Labor isn’t about student success. This move is bad for students and families.

📢 What We’re Watching This Week: The real-world consequences of dismantling the Department of Education and cutting federal funding are unfolding. Here’s what’s at stake:
States decide almost every substantive education issue that matters. The one exception involves anti-discrimination. Federal gov has led on that since 1964. In closing multiple civil rights offices, Trump just largely returned that issue to states. https://t.co/hD5ST3qn8X
There is a growing number of colleges and universities committed to a new vision of excellence in higher education. Read our new blog post by special guest @usedgov’s Under Secretary of Education, James Kvaal linked here: https://t.co/3Zh1s8T2c4
With enough advocacy and political will, together, we can create a system that boasts a high-quality education for all students — regardless of race, identity, or economic background — and promotes student excellence. https://t.co/Ui4JQnIPC3 #EduReimagined
A cornerstone of great pathway systems is offering navigational support and transition tools to K-12 students, including a dedicated counselor. EdTrust & @Ed4All explore the ideal system to ensure all students can access equitable pathways https://t.co/Bt6G69JCO6
“Without #AffirmativeAction, the future looks bleak,” but @Wil_EdTrust says, "With strategic advocacy, we could spur the evolution of #P16 policies & practices, removing barriers that have traditionally impacted students of color.” https://t.co/5LzZx4Bn8j #EduReimagined
At EdTrust, we have a bold vision for education equity. That’s why I’m thrilled to announce a bold new look for EdTrust. I’d love for you to check out our brand-new website and learn more about how we can reimagine our education system together. #EduReimagined

“Let’s be mindful not only of the progress we have made, but the work that still lies ahead, particularly in the current politically charged environment. The celebration of Juneteenth goes beyond a single day.” - @Denise_EdTrust https://t.co/uzLj4HUfpw
