i'm all for achieving success while the young sox seem to be finding their way. especially in a weak AL. as great as it's been i don't understand the need to expedite the process and flip prospects into veterans. the last core (not a as talented) were expedited and it failed. look at the orioles. the tigers. it doesn't always work. i had concerns for shane smith coming into the year but rather than trading prospects i think there sox need to look at him as a mid season "acquisition" if he can find his way back
