Second, presenters must have a paper accepted for the ISA 2025 Annual Convention in Chicago. Third, at the time of the award's receipt, the recipients must be members of the GSCIS Caucus and ISA.
Award Details: Up to two recipients will receive a reimbursement of up to $700 to cover travel and accommodation costs directly related to attending the ISA Convention. Reimbursements will be processed after the Chicago Convention upon submission of eligible travel and accommodation receipts.
Eligibility and Selection: Anyone meeting the above criteria is eligible to apply, with a particular emphasis on applications from early career scholars and female candidates. The Selection Committee reserves the right to withhold the award if no suitable applications are submitted. Recipients must maintain active GSCIS and ISA membership until reimbursement is completed.

Prime Minister Luxon will deliver an apology tomorrow to survivors of abuse in care in Aotearoa New Zealand. This is based on the work of the Royal Commission of Inquiry into Historical Abuse in Care. Journalist and survivor advocate Aaron Smale (Ngāti Porou, Ngāpuhi, Pākehā) has done excellent work on this process and the journey ahead.
Looking forward to the International Indigenous Research Conference this week. Really powerful line up of speakers and participants.
