@leo_szac Temporary solution, many office buildings are not fit to be apartments due to their structural layouts with lack of natural interior lighting in the center (windows), and mechanical/plumbing compatibility
Hello all, I currently reside in Maryland (in a suburb outside of DC), what is the Real Estate and Construction industry like in Houston and other cities in Texas? I currently attend @TAMULawSchool , working to get my MLS in Real Estate and Construction.
@MaryGraceLLC I think it’s great, coming from a construction background working on renovations now, you never know what’s actually there until you go find it. Knowing you’re covered for any unforeseen circumstances puts everyone at ease when doing a survey.
Recently I interviewed a member of the CRE industry, and their opinion was the same, stating that CRE transactions can be streamlined if all parties complete their due diligence.
Learning from @TAMULawSchool has taught me how important due diligence is in development. Many problems can be resolved quickly and have a clear scope of work established if all parties are aware of all circumstances.
@RE_Deal_Junkie Yes, it all depends on your needs. Personally, going to the gym is important in my life and I often sit on the rooftop amenity terrace.
In my CRE course @TAMULawSchool, we learn how a lack of quality due diligence can hinder/slow down the process of development. This owners rep took the time out to do his own due diligence and can now present the issues to the end users and they will be able to come a conclusion.
Today I had a good conversation with an owners rep who didn’t fully understand something, instead of arguing, they genuinely came to me and asked questions and we got on the same page. This owners rep is a breath of fresh air.
Today I had the opportunity to represent DAVIS Construction at the JDRF Real Estate Games. It was great to network/compete and fundraise with developers and other members of the AEC industry. I placed 3rd in fastest lacrosse shot challenge with a shot of 93 mph!
Last week I vacationed in Fort Lauderdale, Florida staying in an Airbnb. Elaborately, the owner of the home turned the garage into a bed room allowing for an extra room. The room was fully finished with A/C. Real estate professionals flipping houses for rental use, take notes!
@RE_Deal_Junkie 100% agree with this. Whenever I have been apart of a project team building a structure that will have amenity spaces, an extra special amount of care and quality control is always maintained in those areas. But me personally I need a good gym and rooftop lounge!
Large construction GC Lendlease having their US operations absorbed by another large GC Consigli. Curios to see if any real estate professionals think this will have any cost impacts on potential projects? What will happen to lendlease’ labor? https://t.co/T4qkmznSIj
