@alderac It's very peaceful. As you're moving with the wind, you don't feel any and it's silent except for the burners. The basket is chest height so it feels completely safe. Unlike standing on the glass floor of the Harukas 300 observatory in Osaka (tying it back to travel in Japan)

Japanese Vacation Pics: Went to Yuki Matsuri in 2008 and 2016 and it is AMAZING! And cold, but the ramen and hot baileys helps. For a MASSIVE snow stage with lasers and fireworks, visit Asahikawa. Firework ash will rain hot so maybe don't wear your favorite coat. #LetsGoToJapan

@alderac As I understand it, it is an international competition that runs for days as is the ice sculpture contest in Susukino district. These are dwarfed by multiple stages built of snow for performances. Bundle up, -15C.
