We’ve added additional capacity to our system and activated our Surge Response Team (SRT) to assist with transports from the GTA to create ICU capacity.
In partnership with @YorkParamedics, our SRT will now be able to transport multiple ICU patients using a multi-patient unit.
46 transfers yesterday by land and air to create ICU capacity.
Now, more than ever, we must all:
✅ follow the Public Health Guidelines
✅ book an appointment to be vaccinated when eligible.
✅ be patient
✅ be kind
Everyone is doing our very best to get through this.
The first available vaccine is the best vaccine. When eligible, register for your vaccine. If you're unsure or still have questions, speak with your health provider.
Tomorrow, the Astra Zeneca vaccine will be available to anyone 40+ in more than 1,400 pharmacies across Ontario.
