When we take bread and wine in communion, we're not just remembering the death of Jesus, we're personally ratifying the New Covenant which He made on our behalf, as the perfect Representative of God and the perfect Representative of Man. We're declaring our desire to be included.

Recently, the Church in Wales, led by the Anglican Communion's first lesbian-partnered primate, voted to make the blessing of same-sex couples a permanent rite in its prayer book. God surely loves her, but He can not endorse a blessing of relationships outside His created order.

It's now the norm to justify countless human activities by seeking to persuade a gullible world that they're automatically legitimised by declaring them to be an innate, universal, inalienable human right when, in fact, such rights are just a human invention with no boundaries.

On 13 July, the C.of E.’s General Synod will be asked to affirm that there are “no fundamental objections to being in a committed, faithful, intimate same-sex relationship”. May I suggest that God, in love, does have a fundamental objection to rebellion against His created order.

4th July: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men... are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights... life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." 'Self-evident' because there's no biblical evidence for such universal rights, only universal value.

God has conferred immense and universal value on every person by declaring us to be worth the agonising death of Jesus on a Cross. He has also conferred one right: to be His children, but only on those in covenant with Him through personally receiving Jesus as Lord and Saviour.

Outgoing U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer has declared that the British House of Commons is “the gayest Parliament … in the world.” Is the diverse sexual preference of our leaders really something that this once-respected nation is now required to be proud of? God help us.

It's common to see an aggressive stance from those pushing to undermine God's order, not least when related to family and expression of sexuality. Whenever there's irrational anger in response to a gracious challenge to someone's views, you know you've touched one of their idols.

From Coalition for Marriage: "Government’s draft Conversion Practices Bill, published 25th June, would threaten up to 5 years in prison for anyone teaching, preaching or counselling that marriage is the union of one man and one woman, the moment a court decides it was ‘abusive’."

There are many ways that God draws people into His Kingdom but neither divine nor human coercion is His way. His gift of free-will is essential to His plan for relationship with His creation. There could never be a true relationship with Jesus if we were made to love Him.

The enemy gets an opportunity in our personal lives when we choose to walk in disobedience to God's commands. From the first humans in the Garden, we've continued to give Satan spiritual authority to use his power whenever we've agreed with him rather than agreeing with God.

Equality & rights have become defiling spirits of this age. Neither are unworthy aspirations in themselves, but have become demonically distorted to promote, for example, entitlement to unbounded sexual expression, & to dishonour the God-created differences between men & women.

New: "His Majesty is Supreme Governor of the Church of England & protects the space for Faith within the multi-faith nation." He may choose to protect the right of people to follow any faith, but he wants to protect the spiritual territory of faiths Jesus says are false, Jn.14:6.

Looking over the city, Jesus reflects: "Jerusalem, Jerusalem... how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, & you were not willing." I believe He wants us to join in the same lament for the lost over our towns & cities.

When we walk with Jesus towards His promise of abundant life and healing, there's an issue which can't be avoided if we're to find all that God wants for us. On the WAY to LIFE, there's the doorway of TRUTH but, sadly, many Christians prefer to avoid this difficult door.

The public declaration at a Godly wedding, by a man & woman, agreeing a life-long covenantal commitment, is one of the most important spiritual moments of their lives. It's of immense significance for themselves and for the whole of society, receiving Jesus's endorsement at Cana.

Our Christian friend living in Ukraine narrowly missed serious injury from a Russian drone attack this morning while she was travelling in a car to provide help to others in need: a timely reminder for us in the UK that we need to be more thankful for just the blessing of peace.

Survey after survey reaches the same conclusion that the traditional biblical marriage of one man and one woman has the best overall outcome regarding the health and wellbeing of both adults and children, as compared with cohabiting couples or other forms of partnership.

Fathering is foundational to God's created order, being a primary means of spiritual protection in a family. Of course, a mother is part of this protection, but her complementary and primary role is nurture. If we call on Him, God has a redemptive plan when a father is missing.

So many devastated by the Bedford train crash, not least the family of the train driver who died. I just want to speak the name of Jesus over all those affected; to speak His power, His truth, His grace, His healing, His comfort, His mercy, His love.
