Sam Kennedy then promoted Brian O’Halloran to Vice President of Baseball Operations.

Eddie Romero, Raquel Ferreira, and Mike Groopman all keep their Assistant General Manager positions.

This ensures that all of them are UNFIREABLE.

At least 10 highly regarded MLB executives (see attached tweet) across several teams reject the invitation to interview for the vacant GM job.

Craig Breslow emerges from a historically WEAK field of candidates.

Like Chaim Bloom…. Breslow is the only FIREABLE executive in the front office.

Breslow very possibly has the LEAST amount of authority and influence of any prior CBO/PBO/GM in Red Sox franchise history.

The same pattern of brutal incompetence has raged on since his hiring.

The common denominator appears to be Sam Kennedy, who by all outward appearances became very powerful once Dave Dombrowski was fired.

Also became a part owner within the Red Sox ownership group in 2021.

What’s important to note: Kennedy can literally take credit ZERO success in any of the Red Sox four world championships. Three of them were won before he arrived. And the foundation for 2018 was put in place before he arrived.
