Watching this never grows old. Each day the babies grow exponentially. It’s been a privilege being a part of their early days & observing them become aware of their surroundings. Today they began fluttering their wings. Tomorrow the nest may be empty. #nature#nurture#fledgling
I will never look at a classical dancer in the same way. It is mesmerizing to watch how rhythmically the babies extend their whole bodies up to meet their mother for each feeding. There is synchronicity in this short lived precious ritual. Art does imitate nature. #babyrobins

Being a professional artist isn’t just about creating a body of work to sell, it’s also about having fun! Debuting our 1st his & her portraits of Baby Yoda. They look more like Baby Yoda & his Grandmother though. Guess which one Warren made & which one I drew, lol :)
The skies were incredible this evening, yet once again. Here are the days last rays of sunshine on Sunset (haha) Lake before the sun became obscured by a rolling fog bank. SO pretty!
Just debuting! Our first original paintings of the 2024 season. These were not easy to come by as both of us were injured; me with a fracture & tears in my hamstring. Warren had rotator cuff surgery . . . You guessed it, on his dominant side. Looking forward to a full recovery!
Time passes by so quickly when in the flow & immersed in the creative process; especially when there is so little daylight! Presenting Edgartown Lighthouse by the Sea on Martha’s Vineyard; one of several original lansdscape & seascape paintings currently on my drawing board.
The Islander Ferry Boat at Sea, an original fine art acrylic painting by Martha's Vineyard artist Debra Gaines. This cherished scene of this beloved ferry boat is full of movement as it safely makes passage across the open sea.
Hand signed, 6” wide on a ½ “ wooden cradle.
