My grandparents watched a coup take our democracy.

My parents watched Washington back Saddam while Iranians died from chemical weapons.

I grew up under sanctions.

Now we watch our infrastructure burn.

This isn’t only Iran’s story. It’s the region’s. The terms have never changed: submit, serve foreign interests, hand over what lies beneath your land. Or face coups, sanctions, and war.

Our oil, our gas, our position on the map are treated as prizes.

Our people are treated as an obstacle.

The US struck a desalination plant in Bunji, Jask county, Hormozgan. Twenty villages. Ten thousand people. No drinking water, in this heat.

Let’s be precise about the law, because precision is what gets skipped. Article 54 of Additional Protocol I doesn’t leave room for interpretation here. It names drinking water installations. Explicitly. As objects indispensable to civilian survival. This is not a gray zone. This is the clearest line in the whole document.

Ten thousand Iranian villagers lose their water and the question becomes whether the claim can be verified. Whether the provincial official is credible. Whether we should wait for CENTCOM to respond in the same way they responded in Minab case.
