@aelampkin There are complications related to long exposures, sensor noise, atmospheric distortion, etc. If your exposure time is 25+ seconds, even Earth’s rotation can make a difference.

I photographed this hawk flying over #DonEdwards #Wildlife Refuge near #SanJose. Clearly this #bird was hunting for food, so it was a bit disconcerting that it kept looking my way.
