@DocJeffD If this is true, and I think it probably is, please communicate it better. Publicizing how many people are currently eligible, how many are vaccinated, and how many unused doses are available would make this clearer and show progress over time.
@susie_dent@GylesB1 Wondering about pop culture suffixes this morning. Apparently the suffix "-gate" meaning "scandal" entered the language quickly. Can't find much about when "-stock" or "-palooza" meaning "festival" became widespread. Any ideas?
@susie_dent@GylesB1 Quite enjoying your new podcast. Just learned all about eggcorns on my way to work. First one I remember noticing was "card shark," rather than "cardsharp." Funnily, looking it up this morning, I found out "shark" meaning "a cheat" is older than "cardsharp!"
@nosuchthing@andrewhunterm talked about biergartens on the podcast. Related: the beer stored in the cellars over the summer took as its name the German word meaning "to store:" lager!
@Delta Thank you again for rebooking us, @Delta! We just made our backup flight before the gate closed. There's no way we'd be getting home so soon without your help. Really appreciate y'all!
@Delta I'm on 4121, one of the flights diverted to CHA during storms in Atlanta. Our pilot says we'll be at ATL in about half an hour, but that's too late to catch 1225, our connection to Seattle. Any way to handle this while we're on the ground?
@Delta That was super easy! Thank you so much for helping us with a backup plan, @Delta . It makes our first time being diverted much less stressful. I really appreciate y'all being so easy to reach and so responsive

#bbcnfl , is Super Bowl Squares popular in the UK? There are a bunch of unexpectedly happy betters right now with that 5 at the end of the Eagles' score
