The announcement from the Ministry of Education today has failed to meet the needs of our education system. $181 million is not going to make up for years of disrupted learning and the cuts this government has forced school boards to make.

@JenMandM We waited for deputies for the all clear to leave the store room because we had no idea was happening. Later we found out it was a fight in the food court and the popping was chairs been pushed over. My daughter and I are still working through PTSD from it.
@JenMandM Yikes! We went through a similar experience a few years ago at the Florida Mall. We heard popping sounds and next thing you know people were yelling “shooter” and a stampede was heading towards us. We ran and hid in the back room of a store with other people. It was scary!
Actually Minister Lecce, students have NOT been out of school for over 11 full school years since 1989.
Once again, Lecce is trying to shift responsibility for school disruptions.
It's time to put students first & invest in their education & future success #ProPublicEd#OntEd
ETFO unequivocally stands with CUPE @osbcucscso#onted workers and their right to strike for better pay and working conditions. Let's be clear @fordnation is attempting to cloak this aggressive anti-labour legislation as being pro-education. #39kIsNotEnough#onted#onpoli
The lowest paid education workers have given strike notice b/c they can't afford to keep using food banks.
So I've got a message for @Sflecce: Come to the table on Tuesday with a reasonable deal that saves our kids' school year & pays these workers a decent wage. #onted#onpoli
