Triple H tried to redeem himself after a POORLY received WrestleMania this year with SummerSlam. Unfortunately, tonight didn't pass the test, as Night 1 of #SummerSlam failed to even top Night of 2 WrestleMania this year.

These shows genuinely feel like half of what they should be as two night shows, and personally, I am tired of the 2 night shows. Liv & IYO showed UP and had a great match for the Women's World Championship.

CM Punk, and Cody Rhodes had an old school wrestling match, with the return of Randy Orton, and Triple H used Hell In A Cell to entice people to find interest in this show, and completely killed the entire gimmick after the company claimed it would be VIOLENT, and it would be a WAR. It was neither.

Once again, when the stories coming in are cold, you are fighting an uphill battle. Very middle of the road show, that left nothing to get overly excited about.

Off to an EXCELLENT start. Longer than what the Women’s World Championship match got at WrestleMania. Liv NEEDED to deliver a great match after such a terrible title reign so far. I almost forgot what type of wrestler she was. Kinda surprised Liv retained though. I felt it was time for a change. #SummerSlam
