@R3DDZane @histories_arch Jet fuel generally isn't that flammable. Probably the tanks were drained of remaining fuel (if they weren't already) which would have burned nicely in the ubiquitous diesel engines in farm equipment and river boat engines all over the country. They are a thrifty people.

@TheCinesthetic What a dick! It was a month or two later when Carrie Fisher passed away, wasn't it? Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, and Harrison Ford, could have been as simple as a quick scene, perhaps around a camp fire, sipping some drinks, and reminiscing while planning for the future Republic.

@ewuemma I think the site you explored is an old Atlas ballistic missile launch complex. The fire resistant yet heated building is where they stored the missile on the launcher/erector. All the lights, out building, blast deflectors and security: it all fits.

Thank you for that moving documentary. I have always felt that the confinement of such obviously intelligent creatures was inherently wrong.
