@AMartinezArias @Richard_She @ZernickaGoetz That embryo-like structures can assemble from 3 stem cell types undergoing random collisions is an astonishing discovery. The success betters fertilized human eggs, where >75% have developmental defects. Genetic studies can be made with such backgrounds.

Let's remember the beautiful in vitro culture of natural mouse embryos to somite stage by Tam and Snow 1980 in static culture. They recommend DMEM medium stressing importance of additional glucose, glutamine and suitably prepared serum.

Jacob -it is absolutely true. The unit you kindly sent didn't work. We asked you if you could supply us with a single unit that would work properly. We did not receive one. This is OK - we set up our own system

Delighted to have you as an author Jacob for your contribution of the gas mixing device. We used our own rotating bottle machine as described for culturing post-implantation embryos in 1980s. In the end, your gas mixing device didn't work but it doesn't seem essential.
