I worked for over 55 years, paying into SS. IF I could have invested that money myself based on mine and my employers contributions, and account for average rates of returns over those years, I would have had OVER 2.25 MILLION dollars……. I will NEVER see that in my lifetime! Not to mention I had a sister pay in for 40 years, die and collect NOTHING. AND A BROTHER pay in 45 years and die after 2 years collecting! My mother paid in 50 years and collected for 3 years. My dad paid in 40 years and NEVER COLLECTED! I can’t help that the GOVERNMENT stole from the SS trust! STOP CALLING IT AN ENTITLEMENT! The government was entrusted with our money and FAILED US!

Thanks to @ISelChiProperty for this find. Dunedin budgets $909,800 yearly for 7 City Manager’s Office positions totaling 6.19 FTE. Then $663,321 was sent to an impostor. Part was recovered, but the public funded the insurance and Risk Fund response. You can’t make this up.

Sen. Joni Ernst reveals 6,000 IRS workers owe nearly $50,000,000 in unpaid taxes, or blew off filing altogether.

Rules for thee, not for the IRS.

Of thousands of delinquent workers, just 20 IRS employees who weren't paying their taxes were terminated. It's supposed to be a firing offense.

They hound you for every cent of YOUR paycheck. Yet thousands of them are dodging their own tax bills. Imagine what they’d do to you if the tables were turned.

Ernst is pushing two bills to hold them accountable: one to audit IRS employees, another to publicly name the federal workers who are delinquent.

You shouldn’t need an act of Congress to make the tax collectors pay their own damn taxes.
