Ms. Pruitt’s Junior Cosmetology students are starting the new year off strong with their first haircuts using brand-new shears. We’re excited to see them build their skills, confidence, and creativity as they continue learning hands-on in the lab.
Level 1 Electricity students Mya Curry and Jaycie Martinez are hard at work practicing the cutting and reaming of EMT conduit—an essential skill for commercial wiring installations. Proud to see these future electricians building strong foundations in the trade!
Dr. Honeycutt presented our DMTC Board Members with beautiful, custom-made Christmas trees—designed by Mr. Swanger and Mr. Garner and expertly crafted by students in the Welding and Machine Tool Technology programs.
Early Childhood Education I and ECD 101 students are building essential caregiving skills by learning proper diapering procedures. After studying key health and safety guidelines, students put their knowledge into practice by changing diapers on anatomical baby dolls.
BHS senior Rickey Green is using the lathe to complete the sixth part of his C-Clamp project in Machine Tool Technology!
Rickey is already a DMTC Completer in Electricity and is on track to become aDouble Completer in Machine Tool Technology by the end of the school year!
Early Childhood Education students explored Erikson’s theory of trust in infancy through a hands-on activity. In pairs, one student was blindfolded while the other guided them through a puzzle using only verbal instructions, building trust through clear communication.
