"I Want it That Way" is our generation's "Don't Stop Believing." Confirmed by all of Target Field joining in and singing like it's a college bar at 12am.
I think the neighborhood kids think my husband is a pushover. They were playing in the blizzard, knocked on our door, and asked him to make them hot chocolate--which he immediately went and did.
Update: they never showed up for the hot chocolate and their shovels are still outside. I think the wind took them. But don’t worry, we added mint rum to the cocoa and drank it ourselves so it wouldn’t be wasted.
Half a million dollars to MPD.
All this as funding for temporary shelter in Minneapolis is running out. The city can bail out cops constantly but can't spend this same money on unhoused people as winter approaches?
Instead they send MPD to tear down encampments.
@1followernodad When speaking, my husband swaps every b and v sound. Instead of “I love you” it’s “I lub you” and many other exchanges. Then he forcibly denies doing it. Drives me crazy.
Voter suppression is "un-American" because it violates the ethos that should center our democracy. But it's all too "American" when you consider our history. I saw the ugly truth in the 60s. I see it today.
The reason why America isn’t recovering from COVID-19 as quickly as other countries is because we are a country that values individualism over collectivism. Nobody here wants to do anything that is a minor inconvenience to them in order to protect their neighbors.
Ever notice that when we talk about having a healthcare system where people don’t pay at the point of service, it’s “Free stuff is irresponsible & wrong!” but when it comes to raining military equip on undertrained police across the country it’s “Hey don’t worry it’s free stuff”
