@AdamTuss@STATter911@Transurban@VaDOT Should have been the way it was done originally decades ago. At this point, not much land available but you can always go up.
@FRMillionaires You averaged 4-5 rides per hour for 12 hours at $6.80ish a trip. How many miles per trip? How many miles total did you drive? How much time do you spend waiting between trips?
This skateboard trick may never be eclipsed.
Danny León, a Spanish Olympic skateboarder, set up this shot and landed it during today's eclipse in Spain.
Perfect planning!
@STATter911 There is so much underage drinking at these establishments. I hear my passengers scheming how to get in with a fake ID frequently. I stopped doing pickups here because there are too many intoxicated riders.
@LifeOfBuddah Maybe the rider canceled and reordered the trip.
I never see a exclusive for the same trip twice in such a short period. I have seen a trip repeat after leaving and returning to a area after 15 minutes or the rider "upgrades" to priority or comfort.
@MinivanManTodd Message is too general. They need to identify which trip. I frequently do not take Uber's route because it takes the long way with lots of traffic lights and stop signs. Trip time is sometimes shorter by 5 to 15 minutes in rush hour traffic.
@photoguy_nc@washingtonian There are dedicated areas on the mall for these vendors. But there are more food trucks than spaces. And they park in travel lanes until the park police move them, slowing the flow of traffic.
@MinivanManTodd@TheRideshareGuy It is really stupid that TNCs are allowed to create new rules frequently. These services should be regulated. And they should be considered a transportation company and not just a technology company.
And why are customer promotions a drivers cost. A 1099 should be my earning
@MinivanManTodd@TheRideshareGuy These fees are Uber's cost of business. There model does not allow me to get these items individually. They do this trickle down economic model to show more profit. It allows them to look like they are keeping less of the passenger payment.
@STATter911 Yeah, I just found that out after unsuccessfully trying to escape DC by I66 and Georgetown. Went back to 395. Now stuck on 295 by DC Water with people driving on the shoulder.
@WridzATX@boston_drives But unfortunately drivers are taking these trips. It shows too many drivers are not believing their time is worth much. A few of these trips would pay much less in Washington, DC and especially in the surrounding suburbs.
@boston_drives Man, I hope Uber does similar bonuses like this soon AF in the DC area. Based on recent fares, the heard must be thinning, but the fares are still trash.
@JeffKirkWeather@boston_drives The 10 minute wait time applies to comfort trips. The wait time does not change for Uber X or Uber XL trips, which is 7 minutes except for airport reservations and business priority. I had a business comfort pay full fare for a 10 minute wait and a no show fee one night.
@1BillNY15@boston_drives@mastagcha@Rides2U But if I cancel early because the rider is not ready, it is counted against me in Uber's dumb alogarithm. Or if I cancel because the rider changes the trip and Uber chooses NOT to share the changes or give a driver a opportunity to accept/ reject the new trip parameters.
