❗️Russian oil refining fell to 3.6 million barrels per day in July, down 150,000 barrels per day from June, according to Bloomberg. The report says this is Russia's lowest monthly refining rate since May 2002. For comparison, Russian refineries processed about 5.59 million barrels per day in July 2021. #Russia
@Thinkforyousel@frontlinekit Russia has no laws. It breaks all international laws continuously. Killing Russian terrorists (=everybody who in the army or who actively supports the army) can and should be killed in any way possible. And yes, that will result in some “extra” casualties. Tough luck
@Thinkforyousel@frontlinekit There is no direct reason to have them killed, but everybody in Russia who is not actively sabotaging the Putin regime, is indirectly responsible for its crimes. And being close to criminals (=russian army), is taking a lot to unneccesary extra risk.
Imagine living in the year 2026 and still thinking that the purpose of economic sanctions is to stop a war or crash an economy.
No, the purpose is to force the country to find work arounds, which creates friction and slows their economic growth in the long term.
The bet is that your country will outgrow their country, which permanently weakens them as an adversary. The compounding nature of economic growth means even small changes in conditions can create huge differences after the span of a few decades.
