@beth_morton I personally don’t identify with some of the terminology like “disability” and “attack”. I understand it’s purpose in terms of advocacy, but I don’t find it helpful for myself personally.
Extremely frustrated with the lack of help I’m getting from @ITAAirways customer center after the 1st person I spoke with changed my flight to the next day without confirming that’s what I wanted & now I’m being told I already used my 1 change. Not a great 1st experience so far.
@CSWhiteMD Yes, as a PT I’ve had to do a lot of my own research in treating this population. Getting their healthcare providers to consider this diagnosis has been a challenge!
@Nicole_Lee_Sch@TheSasp2 The PT should always be developing your plan based off your goals. I treat a lot of people whose goal is not pain related, however sometimes I’ll still inquire about pain to help determine what we can/ should do that day.
@Nicole_Lee_Sch @Michele_SPT Yes, I agree, continuation of PT isn’t based on a decrease in pain scale # but rather improvement in QOL or physical function/activity tolerance. If your PT is basing your continuing w/ treatment solely on pain # I’d say that’s wrong - it’s really depends on their goal writing.
@G17Esiason Ha! When I first started playing hockey (in college), I kept being told off sides was “just like soccer”…and I kept getting called off sides. When someone finally explained it I was like “that’s not just like soccer!!” 😂
