@howzthat7@higgsfield this is so true, it seems so good on the outside but omds its so bad
I tried to make a 30s seedance 2.5 video of a man on a hot air balloon, and it kept flagging me for NSFW.
18 times, 18 times it flagged me. And on top of that each gen takes 20 minutes.
horrible, honestly..
for enterprises, the Decisions API is probably more interesting than the flashy demos.
companies won’t hand over big calls first. they’ll start with narrow, annoying choices where someone can still audit the mess.
for knowledge workers, the interesting part isn’t an always-on assistant doing your calendar.
it’s the boring recurring work: chasing context, writing updates, routing small decisions.
helpful until nobody can tell where it guessed.
what devday means for devs:
cheaper models + codex in the cloud is cool, but the actual shift is building systems that know when to delegate, when to ask and when to stop.
prompting was never the hard part.
what devday means for founders:
if agents can hold context, make narrow decisions and work in the background, your moat can’t just be a nicer chat UI anymore.
it has to be the workflow, the data and the trust.
20+ launches is a lot, but i’m watching the boring stuff: pricing, reliability, permissions and whether any of this survives a real workflow.
the demos are easy. the last 10% is the product.
