@jonkaldal All nets have GPS tracking. If they get lost at sea, they must be retrieved. This has been in place for many years. Aside from the fact that nets are very expensive and no fisheries company wants to lose them. If they "catch" old nets, all are brought back for recycling.
One aspect that makes the #Arctic Council unique is the role of Arctic #Indigenous Peoples. They're represented by Permanent Participants. But how did this feature come to be?

New Zealand went on full lockdown and has only 1 death vs Iceland with 7 deaths. Iceland as an island can take a tougher stance - by closing all schools to effectively reduce and eliminate the spread of #covid19iceland. What is Iceland waiting for? https://t.co/EGX0PBozwb
@Dagurb I have been very impressed with the proactivess to identify and quarantine/isolate people. Why not take the extra step to close schools for a month and extend school to the end of June?
@Chris_Iceland I could not agree more with you. Iceland started well to test and map out people for isolation. But this is not enough. There are 69 unknown cases and the virus is out there. We need a lockdown to get to 0 new cases. Close for 1 month- extend school to June. Start now.
