@ctvottawa Heard that promise before. Here's his track record:
2023: 2.5% 2024: 2.5% 2025: 3.9% 2026: 3.75%. Can't wait to see how he manages to keep that promise.
@cuppabo@RoxxoDr@ctvottawa Good thing we have a thing called Google. The average person in ottawa lives 10-15km from a Costco, factoring lights and distance, the average person would take between 16-22 mins each direction. Can you add numbers? How much total time is that?
@iaconis_tony@ctvottawa Aside from your childish language, the 2016 Canada Labour Code changes only gave the right to request flexible work, not a guarantee. You must apply with justification, and employers can deny it. COVID remote work shift was a temporary emergency measure, never a permanent norm.
@BaxterDoggo@ctvottawa No but I can assure, when I built my company, I worked long hrs. Watching these babies cry about going back to the office makes me sick. My kids play hockey; I've seen gvmt employees leave Fri at noon for a tournament & say they left their computer on so no one would know.
@cuppabo@RoxxoDr@ctvottawa In and out in 20, probably took you 20 mins to get there, 20 mins to get home. My math, that's an hour and you probably still eat lunch as well. If I could, I'd be there all day, because I can and not charging tax payers any money. Retired at 45, because I could, how about you?
@RoxxoDr@ctvottawa Correct, a 1hr lunch. Have you ever been in and out of Costco and made it back home in 1 hour. They never went to Costo when they worked in office, so why is it ok now ?
@MelissaLMRogers Average piece of gas in the US today was 4.46$, average price in Canada 1.71$. 4.46$ is 1.18$ USD. Add the 1.42 current exchange rate, thats 1.67. Not that much better. Also California is at 7.29 today in Newport beach. People, stop blaming the wrong people.
@myabradshaw78 Carney suspended that tax April 20th. Might want to do your homework before calling out what is false. The price is up 100% because of Trump's war. I was also in California last week Gas was 7.29 per Gallon. I am not a fan of Carney but put the blame where it actually belongs.
@globepolitics Well, they never asked me and hell no and most people I know would say the same. This is a fictitious statistic not back by any hard facts.
@EvanLSolomon@MarilynGladuSL This shouldn't be allowed. Once she crosses there should be a by-election. This goes against our voting system, I vote for the party, not the person, in this case,I'd be robbed of my vote. This undermines our democratic system.
@MarcNixon24 Who cares, it's the NDP, they aren't relevant. All talk no substance. They won't win more seats, this group is finished IMO regardless of who is leading the party.
@nationalpost This is so stupid. We all have to bend over for Quebec and oddly, most Quebecers don't care either. There are bigger issues, not sure why this is even a topic.
@CTVMontreal This is ridiculous, it was all detailed in subtitles, he doesn't even speak French. What a waste of time. Who cares! The message was clear, this is an awful tragedy and we are more concerned that the message wasn't in French.
@MarcNixon24 Stop forwarding fake news, your losing it. You use to be so good but spreading this nonsense is losing you credibility. Read the real news, Trump had a 38% approval rating. He's costing the Americans an average of 1300$ per year in tariffs that he's playing off as positive.
@Northerngold01 Because PP wasn't relevant back then and was simply a local MP. A lot of people aren't mentioned in those so really don't get your point. Move your narrative to things that matter. People care way too much about these files yet, no government is acting on arresting anyone??
