This issue and other related issues were discussed during the NBA NEC MEETING in Benin City, Edo State.
During the deliberation, it was decided that there was nothing wrong with using the wig and gown for entertainment purposes.
I remember @afamosigwe confirmed the above position during the meeting.
I urge our colleagues to reach out to members of their Branches who attended the NEC MEETING in 2025 for guidance on the outcome of the decision on this issue and other related issues.
I will also be glad to be corrected by our colleagues who attended the meeting where it's shown that what I stated above is wrong.
Somebody bringing performers dressed as lawyers to an event is purely an artistic expression. I can’t believe my colleague are more angry about this than the embarrassment so many of us bring to the profession with our posts here and treatment of colleagues. We need to do better.
