For years, my mornings have started with grabbing my phone while I'm still in bed and checking what Russia blew up while I slept, and whether all my loved ones are okay.
I miss normal mornings a lot, when the main event was coffee, not destroyed apartment buildings. Miss feeling like i have a steady ground under my feet. Miss our peaceful lives.
Kyiv.
The smell of last night’s attack is in the air.
I’m making warcoffee.
Reading the news.
Warehouses belonging to civilian businesses were on fire.
A railway station in the Kyiv region was hit.
People were killed.
Today, many were shocked by yet another video of the drone “safari” Russians are carrying out against civilians in Kherson. A Russian drone deliberately hunted down a man selling vegetables and detonated right next to him. The Russians even admitted to the crime, showing zero regret and openly boasting about tormenting people. The man was wounded in the blast. Every single day, ordinary people in Kherson face these Russian "safaris."
The world must see this. It must see every piece of evidence that Russia has gone mad and that its soldiers take pleasure in killing and abusing civilians. Without pressure on Russia, the dismantling of its capacity for aggression, and real security guarantees, it is simply impossible to imagine the world being able to coexist with this evil. We must remain resolute in defending life. We must act and support life in ways that force Russia to seriously think about peace rather than expanding the range of its drones.
This is not just about Ukraine. Russia’s campaign against human life must be stopped here in Ukraine before it spreads further. Finland and Kazakhstan, the Baltic states and Poland, the countries of the South Caucasus, Romania, and Moldova—all should work together to ensure real security guarantees and bring Russia’s war to an end. Peace is needed, which requires cooperation among everyone in the world who truly values peace. Thank you to everyone standing with Ukraine!
As someone living in Kyiv, I’m begging you:
Please help us stop this.
Almost every night, russia strikes Kyiv with ballistic missiles, hitting civilians, homes, and warehouses.
We can’t stop these missiles because we don’t have enough Patriot systems.
People are dying.
Please don’t look away. Share what’s happening in Ukraine. Help us save lives.
Today, the Russians used their ballistic missile to destroy an ordinary house belonging to an ordinary family in Radushne, near Kryvyi Rih, in our Dnipro region. It was the Voronov family: mother Olena, father Artem, seven children – Mark, Dominika, Zakharii, Azarii Ilai, Federica, Emilia, and Viorika – and one-and-a-half-year-old grandson Artem, the child of their eldest son, who is now defending Ukraine. As of now, it has been confirmed that parents and three children – Mark, Azarii Ilai, and Emilia – were killed. The Russian missile struck with such force that almost nothing was left of the house… Fragments of human bodies were found under the rubble, and only forensic examinations can establish which members of the family they belong to. The fate of Zakharii, Dominika, Viorika, Federica, and Artem is still being determined… It is a horrific crime of Russia’s war against Ukraine – against ordinary people, against ordinary life.
This Russian evil can only be stopped by the whole world. No one in the world can be left to face such terror alone. And when we say that Ukraine needs missiles for Patriots, when we seek the capabilities to defend ourselves against Russian ballistic missiles, this isn’t about abstractions. We are talking about families like this, people like these, who can live if we have the means to shoot down Russian missiles – if our partners help us with interceptors. Families who can be killed if we have nothing to stop Russian Iskanders with.
It is important that these people are seen by those who make decisions – decisions at the Pentagon, in European capitals, and everywhere in the world where there is an opportunity to help Ukraine protect lives. Reality speaks for itself. Protecting lives is necessary. Air defense missiles are necessary.
Eternal memory to all Ukrainians who were killed by Russian strikes… Eternal gratitude to everyone who helps!
President Zelenskyy:
Now there are three things we have to focus on.
First, North Korea will send 30,000 soldiers to Russia.
Second, Iran will send missiles to Russia. And that's a problem because they will be used to launch missile attacks against us.
Then, what is really a big problem is that China has begun working with Russia. They are working on satellites and technologies, and so on, to make their attacks against us more precise.
I also feel this is probably the moment to finally share it. Remember my family member lost in action ? We just got notified they have his remains .
I feel many things and none at all.
The death toll has risen to 21, including 3 children, after a Russian attack on Kyiv on the night of May 14‼️
21! And still counting. Why 21 people were killed in their home? Why?
Rescuers are working around the clock to clear the rubble and search for survivors.
Is it just me, or is X actively LIMITING the VISIBILITY of posts about Russian crimes and shelling lately?
It’s frustrating that we have to use “pretty” content just to break through this and remind the world that the war hasn’t stopped.
So, here is my photo in flowers🌸
The visibility of all pro‑Ukrainian accounts, including mine, has dropped dramatically. Please help me fight the algorithm by visiting my profile and boosting posts about today’s Russian war crimes.
Pic for attention.
Orbán and his team have started spreading Russian-style disinformation. They are sending out messages falsely claiming that our candidates are withdrawing. TISZA is not withdrawing anywhere; we are running with a real chance of winning in every constituency.
When I travel outside of Ukraine, I get daily intelligence updates online. This morning, I was briefed that U.S. military facilities in the Middle East and the Gulf region were photographed by Russian satellites in the interests of Iran.
On March 24th, they imaged the U.S.–UK joint military facility on Diego Garcia located in the Chagos Archipelago in the Indian Ocean. They also captured pictures of Kuwait International Airport and parts of the infrastructure of the Greater Burgan oil field. On March 25th, they took pictures of the Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia. The Shaybah oil and gas field in Saudi Arabia, İncirlik Air Base in Türkiye, and Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar were all imaged on March 26th.
There are no Ukrainian facilities on this list. But who is helping whom when sanctions are lifted from an aggressor that earns daily revenue and provides intelligence for strikes against American, Middle Eastern, UK, and U.S.–UK bases and so on?
When surveillance is carried out over facilities in Ukraine, we always understand that they must be protected, since plans are in motion to destroy them – energy and water infrastructure, military facilities, and so on. Everyone knows that repeated reconnaissance indicates preparations for strikes. How can sanctions be eased if this is what the Russians are doing?
There must be pressure on the aggressor. And lifting sanctions is certainly not pressure. It looks strange. Sanctions are being lifted, while the aggressor is providing intelligence to strike facilities, including those of the countries that are discussing or have already lifted sanctions.
From my conversation with journalists (3/3).
The world is silently watching
while russians keep destroying us.
Killing civilians.
Killing children.
Aiming at our homes.
Kyiv didn’t sleep all night.
The attack didn’t stop till evening.
Lviv - hit in the center.
Ivano-Frankivsk.
Ternopil.
Middle of the day.
Please don’t look away.
Don’t let putin repeat this again and again.
It’s time for action.
Not words.
Because this is not a movie.
We are real people.
And we are dying.
Greetings from Kyiv.
I’ve been writing for almost five hours in a row.
Then I went outside.
Air defence is shooting down drones.
Perhaps I need a little rest.
I’m living in a city of ghosts. It's filled with the ruins of buildings that used to be places I loved, ruins of buildings where our people's lives were cut short by the whim of evil minds from far away.
Sometimes I don't notice and everything feels fine, but then I turn a corner and see a place I used to love standing as charred, gigantic remains. It’s strange. There are so many scars here. It hurts. My Kharkiv is in pain.
You occasionally get a moment that symbolizes everything wrong with this country. In this case it's a U.S. Marine veteran screaming out that no one wants to fight for Israel and a U.S. Senator breaking his arm. A perfect encapsulation of US foreign policy.
