We have noticed some people misreading or misunderstanding our post below. We are going to break this down so viewers across the United States and Nigeria can understand exactly what is happening legally and the game-changer that just occurred. There are two important dates/deadlines:

First Key Deadline (August 21): @TheJusticeDept (DOJ) is no longer stonewalling or blocking the release of the documents. This is a reversal from the DOJ under President @JoeBiden. The DOJ under President @realDonaldTrump has requested an extra 10 days to look into things and respond to the demand for the documents concerning Nigerian President Tinubu's (@officialABAT) drug trafficking allegations to be released. The court ordered that the date be fast-tracked and that, by August 21, DOJ must tell Judge Howell its position on the demand to release the documents. President #Tinubu has until August 21 to file his objection to DOJ releasing the documents.

Second Key Deadline (September 18): Unless Judge Howell asks for additional information or arguments, after September 18, the court will deem all arguments heard, and Judge Howell will make a ruling.

Aug. 21 → DOJ states its position.
Aug. 21 → #Tinubu's deadline to object to the documents being released.
After Sept. 18 → Judge Howell will rule.

We just received a copy of President Bola Tinubu’s (@officialABAT) filing from just two business days ago. Not surprisingly, President Tinubu has now formally joined @TheJusticeDept’s request for a 10-day extension, which the judge has now swiftly denied.

We surmise that President #Tinubu wants to use any delay to call upon his friends in DC to argue that the release of these files would harm U.S.-Nigeria relations and undermine his ability to work with the United States to combat terrorism and the killing of Christians in Northern Nigeria.

We believe that any U.S. government personnel who improperly attempt to interfere with the judicial or FOIA process on behalf of #Nigerian President #Tinubu to prevent the lawful release of these records should be exposed and fired.

President @realDonaldTrump and the United States do not protect individuals alleged by the DOJ to have been part of a criminal organization that smuggled heroin into the United States.

Around 3 March this year, @NigeriaGov announced a 6 year moratorium on the establishment of new universities.

Today, the same govt has announced the approval of 33 new universities.

Among the new universities approved, 2 go to @realdaveumahi's Ebonyi & one goes to @Hope_Uzodimma1's village in Omuma, Imo State.

In Ebonyi, there will be the Ebonyi State University of ICT, Science and Technology, Oferekpe, Ebonyi State; and the niversity of Aeronautics and Aerospace Engineering, Ezza, Ebonyi State. That will bring it to 3 state universities in Ebonyi State.

In Hope Uzodunma's village, you will have the University of Innovation, Science and Technology, Omuma, Imo State. That will make it 2 state universities in Imo.
