In light of the recent tragic events at R.G. Kar Medical College in Kolkata, West Bengal, several organizations within the medical fraternity have organized protests, candlelight marches, and boycotts of medical OPDs. The response from faculty and staff members of these institutions has been encouraging, contributing to the success of this movement.
However, in contrast, at Maharaja Suheldev Autonomous State Medical College in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, there is significant opposition and resistance from the principal, Dr. Prof. Sanjay Khatri.
He is reportedly targeting students, residents (JRs and SRs), and interns involved in the movement, both officially and unofficially threatening those participating.
Despite these challenges, the medical fraternity in Bahraich is standing together in solidarity against the principal's unjust actions.
