#dnskv Service is being shutting down, domain is not renewed. If anyone wants to continue running this service. I can provide source code + transfer the domain. But after checking access log (daily hit counters of updates / access (excluding cache)) I decided to shut it down.
Sorry for short #DNS#downtime, host operating system is now upgraded to latest release and all latest #security patches have been applied and #dnsdist upgraded. All good!
Need to detect #DNS#servers which do not respect #TTL and #cache#stale responses? https://t.co/DuBrIsx3Z4 provides a free solution to that, record is updated every second with fresh timestamp.
My talk at #FOSDEM 2023 was: Bizarre and Unusual Uses of DNS (Lightning Talk version)
For anyone interested, there's a recording here: https://t.co/z8pG8NY8LJ
(Minus the bit at the start where I didn't realise the mic was live... We'll get a steak next time, @Habbie!)
#DNSKV service server & domain renewed for two years. Now you can trust that the #anonymous#messenger using only #DNS packets and no #logging will be running for a good while.

In one case, everything was blocked, except localhost and it provided DNS service, so fail!

What, why, how? Including reasoning, logic, stack, implementation, problems, experiences, fixes, solutions, privacy and so on. Fun #hobby#software#service#project.
It's nice to see other people as excited about #DNS as we are. https://t.co/0OAnTEbtUO is an excellent site and #service. What a nice way of learning things, playing with toys. We just wish they would have #IPv6 support. #Hacking#fun
@tony_hunt This is just my little play project. Key Value Database over DNS. It was fun implementing it in custom Python server, with PowerDNS load balancing and front proxy.
Also implemented obfuscated communication channels #dnsmsg. https://t.co/iyZKZXcADX #DNS#database#hobby#project
@JackRhysider Well, we log only hourly summary counters: requests, cache hits, misses, static responses, inserts and updates. Like date, hour, 3245, 632, 2732, 121, 37. But that's more than nothing.
#Website#updated with better samples + social media sharing headers. - Like it would be meaningful? + #Service#renewed for one year for everyone #free to use.

#nologs should actually mean no #logs, even if the server would be completely snapshotted or taken physically to a lab for #forensic#analysis. There's nothing to analyze. Because the data wasn't ever recorded.
@laserfox@mikko Using the service for what? Using it as example how easy it is to transfer information over DNS. Afaik, it's a pretty good practically working example.
