Comm artist here, absolutely this. Do not trust any artist who claims otherwise. Any responsible artist gets their work done in a reasonable time frame. Clients are not "money bags". If you do not deliver the art in a reasonable time or scam clients you are not in artist you are just a scammer.

Every client should be treated respectfully and that their comm matters. Whether its 5$ or 100$. If someone pays you for service you should deliver it.
