Can we all please wake up and realise that the falling birth rates are actually the CORRECT birth rates. More women are just finally having babies only when they want to, not when they are forced to.
Unpopular opinion:
If I knew my unborn child would have a severe disability that would require lifelong intensive care, I would seriously consider termination.
Not because I don't value disabled people. Not because I lack compassion but because love alone doesn't provide specialized healthcare, financial resources, emotional resilience, or round-the-clock caregiving.
Raising a child with profound disabilities can demand sacrifices that affect parents, siblings, and the child themselves.
People should be allowed to have honest conversations about whether they are truly prepared for that responsibility without being shamed for it.
Imagine being a black athlete dominating such
a predominantly white sport while looking fly and alternative in an era where black athletes were barely even allowed to express themself without being persecuted? Truly revolutionary
sounds like two people responsible and self-aware enough to know what they’re equipped to handle, and opted to avoid bringing a child into the world who would suffer and they would resent. 🤷🏾♀️
