Paul tells us those who hate do not have the love of God (1John4) and not providing makes one worse than an unbeliever 1 Tm 5. One would be forgiven for believing that an air tight syst theology is the true miracle

@danwhitejr The church would be better off if it could see deconstruction for what it was, a step in a larger process that can lead to growth and transformation. As somone who walked through deconst'n 20 yrs ago, I found hope through transcending rather than getting stuck in critique.

@danwhitejr I don't see deconst'n as a movement. It is a step in a larger ecosystem of birth, growth, and death. The hero's journey shows us that if we get stuck any one phase, we miss out on the rebirth, growth and transformation. We fear deconst'n because it is hard to see the otherside

@ErinGreenbean @HollyStallcup I think this conversation has to start with confronting people with their own agency and freedom. If we start with the structure of the institution, our lack of imagination will lead us to rebuild the prisons we thought we wanted freedom from.

@ErinGreenbean @HollyStallcup Even if we were to change the institutional structure to one where we take responsibility for our own freedom, our lack of imagination for how that works and our desire to outsource our agency to leaders and experts will leave people to wander in their deserts or go back to Egypt
