@ed_halferty@noIPv6@forwardingplane Obviously if they are on discord they can easily copy and paste the ipv6 address :). My kid wanted to do this with a minecraft server about 5 years ago. We had ipv6, the friend was behind double ipv4 only nat unfortunately.
@TheJohnologue @Frances_Larina I remember when the world was sort of like this. Back in the 1990’s before NAT became a thing and ISPs started limiting you to one ip address for your home. It wasn’t all good, but wasn’t all bad either. I dream of ipv6 bringing us a little closer to that again.
@EpsonAmerica Does the iProjection App on an iPhone support working on an ipv6 network as is required of apps in the Apple App store? App won't let me share my screen using an IPv6 address over nat64. Can that be fixed please?
@6connect@noIPv6 Released in 2012? What the heck was I using in 2010 then? Ipv6 beta? :) ( I know, ipv6 was pretty rare before then and many people count world ipv6 day as the start of ipv6)
I believe the main driver for this was that recently TMobile users ( who all have ipv6 addresses ) were changing their IPv4 address through CGNAT so fast that they were unable to use DUO push notifications.
@biotimylated I assume it is a Google vps? If so I think that’s a known issue. I have the same problem with one I setup just after they started supporting ipv6.
@sd90_43mac@ryaninmpls@KWinrich1@communitynets That’s a bummer. I’d like to switch to them once they are in my area but I’m spoiled that mediacom has had provided me with ipv6 for quite a few years now.
@zajdee@Windows@ipv6buzz I’ve been running a smallish ipv6 mostly network with around 500 clients for almost two months now. No complaints so far ( fingers crossed I didn’t just jinx it ).
