BBC Calls Him a “Junta Leader” Because They Cannot Say The Truth:
Captain Ibrahim Traoré Stopped Allowing The West To Control Burkina Faso’s Mineral Wealth. He Opened Burkina Faso’s First Gold Refinery So The Gold Stays, The Jobs Stay, And The Profit Stays. For Decades The West Dug It, Shipped It, Refined It, And Left Burkina Faso With Dust. That Era Is Over.
He Expelled French Troops. He Cut The Colonial Leash. He Took The Mines Back. He Is Building The Value Chain At Home.
That Is Not a Junta. That Is a Country Standing Up. Call Him What He Is: The Man Who Ended The West’s Claim On Burkina Faso’s Gold. 🇧🇫🔥
The Premier League has spoken as Manchester City have been found guilty. Now I want to explain what that actually means, because a lot of what you will read on this app today is wrong.
On Tuesday, the Premier League confirmed that an independent Commission found City guilty of every charge relating to serious breaches of its financial rules between the 2009/10 and 2017/18 seasons. They were also found guilty of most of the charges about failing to co-operate with the League's investigation. The charges were first brought in February 2023, and it took a four-year investigation and a 42-day hearing to get here.
In plain English, the Commission found three things. City arranged "sham" contracts with some of its commercial partners, meaning the paper said one thing while the real agreement was something else. Those deals made the club's revenue look bigger and its costs look smaller than they really were.
Because of that, the accounts City filed were misstated, and the true state of the club's finances was hidden from its auditors and from football's regulators. And City were significantly over both the Premier League's and UEFA's spending limits.
But guilty is not the same as punished, and this is the part people are skipping. The sanctions will be decided separately at another private hearing. The possible outcomes range from a heavy fine to a points deduction, and even relegation.
City also have until Friday, 2 October, to appeal. So as of today, nobody has been relegated and not a single point has been deducted.
Now, this is where it gets interesting for lawyers. In 2020, the Court of Arbitration for Sport overturned UEFA's two-year Champions League ban on City, largely because many of the allegations were too old to be pursued under UEFA's time limits, and the fine was cut to €10 million. This case is different. It sits under the Premier League's own rules, and an appeal goes to a Premier League Appeal Board, not to CAS. The route that saved City in 2020 is not the same route this time.
The co-operation finding matters more than people think. In almost any disciplinary process, a party found to have obstructed the investigation does not usually get much sympathy when the punishment is being decided. Three of the four alleged breaches of the duty to co-operate were upheld.
And City may not be the only ones heading to court. Other clubs have already reserved the right to seek compensation. Think about the clubs that were relegated, missed out on Europe or lost prize money in those nine seasons while City were operating outside the rules. I would not be surprised if their lawyers are already reading this decision line by line.
In September 2024, Pep Guardiola said the independent panel would decide and City would accept the sentence. The club's first reaction today was that it is "disappointed and surprised." On Friday, we will find out whether the club agrees with its manager.

BREAKING: Premier League says Manchester City used 'sham contracts' to inflate revenues and cut costs by £900m, as club found guilty of all charges related to breaches of financial rules.

🚨 MAJOR BREAKING: Premier League confirm an independent Commission has found Manchester City GUILTY OF ALL CHARGES related to serious breaches of the Premier League’s financial rules over a nine-season period, and the majority of charges in relation to its failure to co-operate with the League’s investigation.
The club has the right to appeal the independent Commission’s findings and has until Friday 2 October to exercise that right.
The Premier League Board’s intention is that the full process (including any appeals and publication of relevant decisions) is concluded as soon as possible.
The independent Commission found that between Seasons 2009/10 and 2017/18:
- Manchester City arranged ‘sham’ contracts (which misrepresented the true agreement between the parties) with a number of its commercial partners, as well as relying on ‘sham’ agreements with others, to artificially inflate the club’s revenues and reduce its costs
- The club filed misstated accounts and concealed the true state of its finances from its auditors and football regulators
- Manchester City was significantly in breach of both the Premier League’s and UEFA’s spending limits
- During the Premier League’s investigation, Manchester City committed multiple breaches of its duties of co-operation and utmost good faith towards the League (three of the four alleged breaches were upheld)
Captain Ibrahim Traore of Burkina Faso during the inauguration of the country’s gold refinery. Burkina Faso gold will not be SENT to France Again!! This is Independence! This is Democracy in Motion! These are the results of a Democratic Coup!!
Meet Jeremy Saland who is lawyer and attorney for Scott Kretzschmar who is one of the Cornell university 7 rapists
He has said , “Scott never sexually assaulted or even touched the plaintiff in any way. Period,”
I’m sorry what the fuck?
I really thought lawyers wouldn’t act like this any more. I’m so naive
This is what the face of a rape apologist looks like
Burkina Faso inaugurated its first-ever gold refinery, with President Ibrahim Traore saying the country wanted to process its mineral resources locally and take control of the entire value chain
This is Michael I. Kotlikoff, the President of Cornell University and one of the people who thought writing an essay was an acceptable apology for rape for 7 hours
He needs to be held accountable and he needs to resign in shame. Every single member of authority who let the woman down is complicit.
He should be fired and fined for dereliction of duty. Scumbag!
Chelsea fans have BlueCo to thank for the fact that their club avoided sporting sanctions now on the table for Manchester City.
Self-reporting and “unprecedented” cooperation on serious Abramovich era rule-breaking made all the difference

Trending Story: Another food Ponzi scheme scam hit Osogbo, causing protest.
A food stuff store at Odi Olowo, Opposite Nepa office, selling items at up to 80% discounted rates for months disappeared this morning after collecting pre-order money from hundreds of traders and customers.
For instance, they sold a 50kg (₦60k-70k) bag of rice for as low as ₦20-30k. An Indomie carton of ₦14k was sold ₦5-7k, depending on the quantity of orders. But, every order took 7-days for processing.
Semovita, Oil, Rice, Beans, Spaghetti; every food stuff was sold for a minimum of 50% discount. This final run, they promoted it on social media, attracting hundreds of interest state-wide.
So, today was supposed to be another pick-up day after taking mass orders from people.
Unfortunately, when the investors arrived the store, it was empty, their numbers weren’t reachable, causing panic that prompted police intervention. They’re now asking police to investigate and recover their money.
Interestingly, it was in the same exact area in Odi Olowo, Osogbo that the infamous Hero’s Merchant or Hero’s Capital happened years ago. Same food stuff scam.
Last year July, someone pulled off the same scam in Auchi.
He was selling ₦60k bags of rice for ₦20k, claiming it was an FG subsidy and palliative. On some days he sold over 100bags of rice.
After collecting money from over 1,000 people, he disappeared. The victims later realized they had collectively been scammed to the tune of ₦20-30 million.

Gross monthly minimum earnings in the UK based on a 40 hour wage equates to £2,203 or £2,065 based on 37.5 hourly wage calculation.
You'll pay tax, council tax, rent, water, electricity, gas, food, internet, and whatever monthly deduction applicable. You'll not be rich, but ypu can pay your bills. You can pay your rent and you can eat well.
Gross monthly earning in Nigeria is N70k. That amounts to N840k per annum. Self-contain apartment in Surulere is over a million naira. We are swimming in gross poverty. This is not life.
You have any more comparative topic you like me to talk about?
Before you try that stupid agenda you want to cook, P at the back means Pence, not Pound. That is basically £1.99(One Pound, 99.18 Pence)per litre of fuel.
Hourly wage in the UK is £12.71.
That means you can comfortably buy 6 litre of fuel with the money you made in an hour.
Lmaoooo!
Nah! If ever heaven and hell exist, there should be grades to that shii mehnn.
I mean, you cannot possibly put me in same hell with people like this na. That will be very unfair from God.
