The average pastor or general overseer in Nigeria cannot relate with the struggles of their members
Thatโs the simple truth
They are blessed by God.
They live in nice houses and areas that have good security, they can travel in and out of the country in the best transportation available in this world
Their children go to the best schools and do not have fear of being kidnapped
They are seriously blessed and I think thatโs great
But when you want to address people who struggle to even find transport to enter bus and come to church, who sometimes go hungry because of how hard things are, who cannot send their children sometimes even to public schools, who are in constant fear of their lives, please do it with more empathy
We are not crazy for demanding more from the government
The same government that can find an X user that tweets something negative about them in seconds but cannot find bandits who flaunt the money they got from kidnapping peopleโs kids
Itโs better you donโt say anything than to act like people are any less believers for talking out of pain
You cannot beat a child and tell that child not to cry
You simply cannot
It is well!
Today I celebrate ME!
Thank God for everything, the gift of men, the holy spirit, grace, mercy and His faithful.
All I can say is "Thank you Jesus"!!!
Dear ME, you'll shake the world!
Cheers to another year. ๐๐๐๐
Stop calling Nursing Interns .... Internnnnnn again !
Makes no Sense.
They are nurses already! Inducted into the Profession!
Use their Professional title. Nurse. Jane Doe.
They are not Internsssssss... or those ridiculous names you call them!
I'd not advise anyone in Nigeria to study nursing in Nigeria. Here are my reasons;
1. I did nursing (a supposed 5-year degree course) for 7 years. Due to accreditation issues and strikes.
2. After school, you will do an internship and NYSC, making it 9 years. Imagine entering school at 18 and finishing at 27 or more.
3. You repeat a class if you score 49.45 or even 49.9 (anything under 50) in a course.
4. You will pay for this and that till you beg for your life. Pay for indexing, pay for hospital finals, pay for examiners to be fed when they come for exams, pay for council registration, pay for council exam, pay for demonstration and vivals, pay for transport for rural postings, pay for nearly everything.
5. There are so many other unspoken bad practices in nursing school and nursing department management.
The height of it all is that after all this, the average nursing in a private hospital is still bargained to be paid 30k naira.
After you're done with school and wants to further your career, get good paying jobs for yourself, NMCN says you can't be verified due to their selfish reasons, and the government puts policies to keep you back. Same NMCN and government that did jot pay a dime for your training!!!
So my friends, before you study nursing in Nigeria, think 5 times, not twice.
What is the alternative?
If you gave a degree, go to the UK and to MSC preregistration nursing degree. After this, you become a nurse and can practice in the UK as a nurse. If you want to move to another country as well, the UK NMC can verify you within 5 minutes if you need verification.
