@KevHicks75@CBoxSports@westjclint Agreed. I feel the same way. Hes too close to the guys and cant be critical of them while also trying to help them on the field
The Reds are bad. The chances of them doing anything special are as good as the power ball ticket you can go buy.
If they made the postseason, their chances of success are as good as your chances dating Sydney Sweeney.
Sell. Including Krall. Sell em all.
@sm00th_kw@LanceMcAlister They didnt make the playoffs because of anything the Reds did other than be mediocre like the rest of the year. The Mets were just that bad in the 2nd half
@sm00th_kw@Dmein06@LanceMcAlister Did you watch the Reds offense last year? Because I did almost every game. There is no way that was a playoff caliber offense.
@StevenDavis_23@LanceMcAlister As a manger he is more than a PR stunt, but the point is that this FO/ownership group uses firing managers and coaches as scapegoats. They operate the same no matter who the manager is and when it doesnt work they fire whoever it is to appease the fans.
@StevenDavis_23@LanceMcAlister Also, 21’ was the year the FO went into season know bullpen sucked. Watched them blow all kinds of games all the way until trade deadline. The brewers, who won the division, needed a SS, and traded for Wily Adames in MAY.
@StevenDavis_23@LanceMcAlister Id argue They “made” the playoffs last year do more to the fact the Mets collapsed. Not because of something the manager did.
@craigmack34@sm00th_kw@LanceMcAlister Ok thats fine. I just dont understand why so many fans who hate Bell almost act like he still has an affect of what is going on. They didnt win when he was here and arent winning now. This team still sucks. With a HOF manager. Managers dont win games. Players do
@sm00th_kw@LanceMcAlister Example: Reds offense is rotten all last year. What does Krall do? Trades for the worst hitter in baseball, with a big contract and injury history, at a position that their top prospect who also came up last year plays. Managers cant overcome the stupidity this FO operates with
@sm00th_kw@LanceMcAlister Ok fine they arent, but who cares? You honestly believe Tito moves the needle that much for this franchise? If so, we have not been watching the same teams for the past 5-6 years. Dodgers pay the most for great players for a reason. Players win games in MLB. Not coaches/managers
@StevenDavis_23@LanceMcAlister But I dont read that as bringing up Bell. He was saying Tito was brought in as a saving grace compared to previous manager all while the players and talent was the same, and wouldnt ya know it, the results havnt changed under Tito hardly at all.
@sm00th_kw@LanceMcAlister I Agree, but Every team has injuries. The issue is this team doesnt have enough good players on the roster to overcome injuries. Im not arguing Tito isnt better than Bell, probably is. But a manager is not fixing this franchise no matter how many different ones they try
@sm00th_kw@LanceMcAlister This team stinks. Would they be better if those guys didnt get hurt. Yes. Would they be good enough to do anything worthwhile? No. Roster is deeply flawed and all you have to look at is how many guys play or have played out of position to see that.
@sm00th_kw@LanceMcAlister Greene and Lodolo miss time every season. Im so tired of hearing about how injuries are the reason this team stinks. Its that way every year, so much so at every trade deadline Krall defaults to “our best trade aquisition will be guys coming off injuries.” Every team has injuries
@StevenDavis_23@LanceMcAlister I think the point is Reds fans need to stop wanting managers and coaches fired and replaced with the belief anything will change. This franchises issues dont change no matter who the coaches are until this FO changes and more talent is aquired
@sm00th_kw@LanceMcAlister If David Bell was the problem, then whats the excuse for what is happening this season? Or the dreadful offense all of last season?
