Years later, I worked at Maryland in their athletic department. I owe so much to Maryland where I am professionally today - and I remain proud to have grown up in Maryland. That’s why this anniversary is so personal to me.
40 years ago today was an event that remains personal to me. Maryland basketball All-American Len Bias died of a cocaine overdose on June 19, 1986 - two day after being drafted by the Boston Celtics in the NBA draft. I was 16 years old and grew up in Maryland.
Eight years ago today was one of the greatest days in D.C. sports history.
I would argue this is the best Cup raise of all time.
The emotion, disbelief and the primal scream from Alex Ovechkin is something Caps fans will never forget.
I still get goosebumps watching it.
Congratulations @haygray15_ on your new assistant SID position. You’ve come so far since you interned with me at @Bing_Bearcats two years ago and I couldn’t be more proud of you!
Congratulations to Sydney Leitner of @BinghamtonXCTF on being named the @AmericaEast 2025-26 Woman of the Year! It was an honor to be her SID throughout her career at @Bing_Bearcats
Shooting videos isn’t my strongest part of my job - but in reviewing the posts from a whirlwind month with @BinghamtonSOFT - I still can’t believe I was able to capture this moment.
Congrats, Brandon on graduating with your master’s degree from Cornell. I’m so honored to be your stepdad and since I met you in 2002, my main job has been just to not mess things up with you. So proud of you and love you so much.
It's never the goal of SIDs to be mentioned on broadcasts - but thank you to Maine's ESPN+ crew for these kind words during the @BinghamtonSOFT playoff game against the Black Bears. And they were spot on about the job @KatiePeverada does running the @AmericaEast Tournament.
It was an honor to shoot photos of Elisa Allen’s home run that broke the @BinghamtonSOFT all time record … but I never expected to be in the video feed of the celebration 😆
Stopped by my alma mater - @gettysburg this weekend. Saw the track I used to compete on as well as the plaque of my SID mentor, the late Bob Kenworthy. He remains my inspiration for getting into my profession.
He was much more than an uncle to me and was a father figure to myself and so many others. Grateful for the role he played in my life and for the full life that he lived.
A little late on this post - but this was my 26th - and final season - as the SID for @BinghamtonUWBB . With an ever-increasing workload, it was time to pull back. I’m still at my job - won’t be leaving. But it’s been an honor working with this team the past quarter century.
