Yesterday at the University of Innsbruck, I spoke about #Guantánamo and the lasting impact of the so called War on Terror.

After the event, we joined students, activists, and members of the community for a vigil calling for the closure of Guantánamo. We spoke with people, shared information, recorded a video, and remembered the men who remain imprisoned without charge or trial.

I am grateful to the University of Innsbruck @uniinnsbruck for hosting this event and creating space for these important conversations. Thanks also to everyone who attended, participated, and stood with us.

Guantánamo remains open. The effort to close it continues.
