@ToyotaUK@ToyotaUK This has now gone beyond merely poor customer service.
After three years of diligently making payments, I have faced repeated chasing, unanswered communications and an extraordinarily stressful process simply trying to return the vehicle.
I have tried repeatedly to resolve this reasonably and directly. If Toyota continues to ignore my communications and fails to provide a workable resolution, I will now consider formal legal action!!!
I have retained the correspondence and a full chronology of events.
Shambolic. Shameful. Completely unacceptable.
@ToyotaUK@Toyota@ToyotaMotorCorp@ToyotaFinancial@ToyotaFinanceID Could you please help where repeated DMs and emails have failed to get a response?
After three years of diligent payments, I did not expect returning my car to become an exhausting exercise in repeatedly chasing two separate companies.
My mentor, a full-time consultant, is doing me an enormous favour because my disability, bereavement and current circumstances mean I cannot manage the return personally. Yet BCA expects him to remain available for an entire day, with repeated chasing required even to obtain meaningful information.
I had no way of knowing that returning a Toyota-financed vehicle would leave me responsible for coordinating Toyota Financial Services and its collection contractor.
If this is how burdensome the process is made for somebody who has explicitly explained that they are disabled, single with no family and friends, currently abroad and dealing with bereavement, I genuinely wonder how difficult it must be for someone without an advocate or the ability to keep chasing.
As private correspondence appears to achieve nothing, I am asking publicly: please liaise with BCA and provide a specific two-hour collection window tomorrow.
Surely, after three years of reliably meeting my obligations, this is not an unreasonable accommodation to request.
The handling has been shambolic. The lack of response is shameful. Please resolve it.
@ToyotaMotorCorp@ToyotaUK@Toyota@ToyotaFinancial@ToyotaFinanceID@ToyotaUK @ToyotaFinancialUK At this point, the continued obstruction is becoming so difficult to understand that it feels deliberate.
For TWO WEEKS I have been trying to RETURN YOUR OWN CAR.
I am abroad following a bereavement and have a disability. Toyota Financial Services was given formal written authority for my mentor to act for me BEFORE I left the UK. I could not possibly have known Toyota would outsource collection to BCA or that my authority apparently wouldn’t follow with the vehicle-return process.
When told of the problem, I supplied the authority AGAIN.
My mentor is now storing the vehicle at his home purely out of kindness and waiting to facilitate collection.
Still no collection date.
Emails asking for help go unanswered, yet automated Toyota emails continue arriving directing me to documents on a portal/app that is malfunctioning and which I cannot access.
Toyota has repeatedly been told about my disability, bereavement, severe distress and urgent need to conclude this matter. Yet nobody appears willing to take ownership.
At what point does repeated administrative failure, despite full knowledge of the harm and repeated opportunities to resolve it, cease to be an innocent oversight?
@ToyotaUK: I am asking you publicly to intervene NOW. Please appoint one named person, contact me and my authorised representative, provide the documents I cannot access, and ARRANGE COLLECTION OF YOUR VEHICLE.
Disability disclosed.
Bereavement disclosed.
Authority supplied — twice.
Car available.
Representative waiting.
Two weeks of chasing.
There is simply no reasonable excuse for leaving a vulnerable customer and the person helping her in indefinite limbo.
Please take ownership and resolve this now.
@ToyotaMotorCorp I’m feeling fleeced and harassed by @ToyotaFinanceID@ToyotaFinancial . As a disabled human who is grieving and who paid without fail for three years, it’s your responsibility to look in to this! Shambolic!
@Toyota@ToyotaUK@ToyotaFinanceID@ToyotaMotorCorp ToyotaUK Is this really how Toyota treats a disabled and medically unwell customer after THREE YEARS of faultless payments?
I have paid my agreement diligently for three years without a single lapse. I am now medically signed off sick, dealing with disability and bereavement, and have spent nearly TWO WEEKS trying to arrange termination and collection of my vehicle.
The response? Emails ignored. Endless chasing. Rude and dismissive customer service. No ownership. No urgency. Meanwhile, the customer continues paying.
I had actually delayed terminating because I feared becoming trapped in exactly this kind of bureaucratic nightmare — where leaving a contract is made so exhausting that a vulnerable customer simply keeps paying. My experience has done nothing to dispel that fear.
Worse, I have been quoted approximately £900 despite having already paid around £500, and I am still waiting for a clear, accurate reconciliation of what is actually due.
I am not asking Toyota for sympathy, charity or special treatment. I am asking for basic competence, disability-sensitive customer service, an accurate account and prompt collection of a vehicle I have repeatedly asked you to take back.
A global company should be embarrassed that terminating a car agreement can leave a disabled customer feeling frightened, trapped and financially squeezed simply because nobody will take responsibility.
Prospective Toyota customers should reasonably ask themselves: a company is not tested when it happily takes your monthly payments. It is tested by how it treats you when you need help or need to leave.
After three years as a reliable customer, this experience has profoundly damaged my confidence in the Toyota brand.
@ToyotaUK: take ownership of this case, arrange the collection, reconcile my payments correctly and resolve it. Enough chasing.
@Toyota@ToyotaUK@ToyotaFinancial@ToyotaMotorCorp H
After adjustment of the £500 payment already made upfront, my calculation of the final amount due is £400.
The required services have already been completed. Your own nominated/approved service outlets do not issue separate documentary evidence for these services, but the service history can be verified through Toyota’s own systems. I would therefore be grateful if you would check your records rather than continuing to request documentation that your own service network does not provide.
There are two keys, and both will be left securely in the glove box as requested.
Please therefore adjust the final payment to £400 and confirm the revised calculation in writing.
I also need you to provide me, without further delay, with full details of the British Car Auctions (BCA) collection process: who will contact my authorised representative, how and when the collection will be arranged, what identification or documentation will be required, and what exactly needs to happen at handover.
Please do not leave me indefinitely waiting for basic collection information. I am currently outside the country and am already having to rely on another person to facilitate the return of the vehicle on my behalf. This is a considerable favour that I am having to seek from someone else because of my circumstances.
I have also explained repeatedly that I am currently unwell and disabled. After three years of diligent payments, I would have expected Toyota to make reasonable efforts to facilitate an orderly termination and vehicle return, particularly for a disabled customer experiencing significant health difficulties, rather than making an already difficult situation unnecessarily more burdensome.
I am not asking for preferential treatment. I am asking for clear information, reasonable assistance and prompt completion of a process I have already been pursuing for some time.
Please now confirm:
the adjusted final amount of £400;
that Toyota has verified the service history through its systems;
that both keys may be left in the glove box; and
the BCA collection arrangements and next steps, including when my representative will be contacted.
I would appreciate a substantive response rather than another generic acknowledgement.
Kind regards,
Dr Chhavi Bhasin
@Toyota@ToyotaUK@ToyotaMotorCorp@ToyotaFinancial Should it not be responsibility of Toyota to help with liaison with the auction company ! No one tells at the time of it will be outsourced to a different company. It’s harassing and leaves someone with legitimate disability ( it’s on my GP records too) hapless and without any help and hence relentless extraction of money until then . How is this not unethical ?

I would be grateful to anyone who explains this. This is on RCGP site.I think:CTshould have been considered & discussed; Basic anatomy dictates pancreas is retroperitoneal & hence USG can’t tell much; Bloods can’t say much about possible malignancy
Is this a problem with training
A 39 year old has passed away whilst waiting to be seen in AnE
She was waiting for 7 hours.
This is truly sad news.
I’m sorry, but this government and NHS leadership frankly do not care.

In #AutisticBurnout we often internalise the expectation that we will recover and go back to 'normal'. But the reality is that (usually) 'normal' is what caused the Autistic Burnout in the first place. What might a sustainable future look like for you?
Disappointingly, despite hearing about further offers from the Government, and a readiness to re-enter talks within 20 minutes which transpired to take more than 20 days,
The Government have failed to table a new pay offer and therefore we are calling for further strike action
