‘PRESO PARA SA MGA BATA, PERO TAKAS PARA KAY BATO?’
Akbayan Party-list President Rafaela David slammed Sen. Robin Padilla after he renewed his push for a bill seeking to lower the minimum age of criminal responsibility to 10 following the Tacloban shooting incident, citing his alleged role in helping Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa escape from the Senate premises.

‘IT’S WHEN 24 BECOMES 22!’
"When 12 senators convened and purportedly held session, how can that be valid?" pagkuwestiyon ni Sen. Cayetano.
Win Gatchalian bilang bagong Senate President Pro Tempore. Nagkaroon din ng pagpapalit sa committee chairmanships.
Calling the brave members of the media “bayaran” after that seemingly orchestrated shootout at the Senate some weeks ago, which happened under their watch, will never make sense.
LOUDER MUMSHIE MELAI CANTIVEROS-FRANCISCO!!!
Absolute disrespect for the Filipino people. What entitlement.
Mag-boycott tayo.
Huwag mag trabaho.

Quote of the day: “Wala man lang nangumusta sa amin!”

NBI Director Melvin Matibag responded to the appeal of Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano asking the Ombudsman to also suspend him following the gunfire incident at the Senate.
According to Matibag, if command responsibility is the basis of Cayetano’s argument, then the senator should also be suspended because the Office of the Senate Sergeant-at-Arms is under his supervision.
On Monday, the Senate received the preventive suspension of Acting OSAA chief Mao Aplasca and the subpoena for a copy of the CCTV footage related to the gunfire incident. | via @jessiecruzat
'UNAHIN ANG INTERES NG BAYAN, HINDI NG SARILI' 🙏
Senator Kiko Pangilinan leads the opening prayer as the Senate is set to convene as an impeachment court against Vice President Sara Duterte today, May 18, 2026.

In his homily today, Bishop Bacani who is also one of the framers of the constitution reminded the Senators that public office is a public trust.
And if you are a senator… you cannot say that you will vote against the impeachment despite the clear evidence just because “tao ka ni Sara”.
FROM UP TO ATENEO, CAYETANO FACES REBUKE

So, it turns out, my theory was right: the Senate drama was all to protect Sara Duterte!
The receipts in this interview with Senator Bato dela Rosa completely expose the real plot behind the entire Senate circus.
1. Did you hear him? He literally admitted on camera that one of his main reasons for "resurfacing" from his six-month hiding streak was because he knew an impeachment trial was coming.
2. He explicitly stated that they needed him to be the crucial "13th vote" to pull off a change of Senate leadership (the coup orchestrated by Senator Alan Peter Cayetano). Why? Because the Senate leadership controls the rules, the timing, and the schedule of when the chamber convenes.
3. This entire staged drama and leadership shakeup wasn't about saving Bato from the ICC. It was a highly coordinated, desperate stunt to install a cooperative Senate leadership that can stall, delay, and completely disrupt convening as an impeachment court for VP Sara Duterte!
While the public was distracted by the chaos and the shootout inside the chamber, the real game was always about protecting the Vice President from her accountability era.
They used Bato as a pawn to secure the 13th vote, changed the leadership, and are now using the drama to buy Sara time.
They are NOT lawmakers anymore; they’re a full-blown defense team disguised as a Senate majority!
