My creative writing students and I are wondering if @StephenKing was inspired by e. e. cummins goat-footed balloon man [in just spring] when writing IT? Just thinking Pennywise isn’t the first creepy balloon man

@pankisseskafka School i went to had some sort of Greek system but it was almost underground it was so unimportant. Same with my grad school. But that’s life in the Wild West. Most people were like Phi Sigma IDGAF so it impacted me not at all. Not as a student or TA
@postcardsfrmv If I remember it’s Vardaman that makes the least sense. Isn’t he the one that says my mother is a fish. Jewel’s mother is a horse? Most will make sense if you keep going. Some won’t. Because little kids don’t make sense to adults.
@jej_sen @SolsticeMFA 2/2 The only thing I hated about it was my job got in the way—and the so did the pandemic, but we kept going virtually. If you are thinking about a program, check out @SolsticeMFA
@jej_sen 1/2 I went to @SolsticeMFA when I was in my 50s and it was, by far, my favorite degree. Loved it so much more than my PhD. My workshop group is now my writing group because it was that amazing as an experience.
