So today I see this article by @BrentNYT in the New York Times and something abt it is irking me. I’ve read this story 3 times today so far and some of the claims are making my incredibly uncomfortable.

We need to be honest about the atrocities our ancestors faced without drawing false parallels. We need to openly recognize the harms we have engaged in while achieving the status of whiteness.
