@ay222000 First off, thank you for being a fan. New or old, it’s important to have dedicated people to cheer for this team. I’ve been a fan most of my 52 years. I proudly wear Okamoto-san’s jersey (with Japanese lettering). I can’t wait to see what next year brings.
@gwgmtweets@0speedD@KeeganMatheson I will say this: if it were me, after every inning as I’m leaving the field, I would have a set play to get me the ball to tag third on the way off and wait for a safe or out call, after this whole thing. Every damn inning. To make sure. Obnoxious? Yes. Oh well.
@gwgmtweets@0speedD@KeeganMatheson You do not HAVE to tag up. But it’s much smarter to if you want a run to score. Had the Jays appealed to 3B vs 1B no run scores. But they also got waved off the field by the umps and they never indicated the run counted. Everyone sort of blew it
@baseballruben@RichHalsall24@SportsnetBen Oh I would debate their part too. There’s overhead footage of the home plate ump telling the official scorer that no run scored as the Jays left the field. Which takes away any shot at appealing to third. Count the run and they almost certainly appeal. Everyone blew it really
@Kevrmoore@michaelschwab13 The food marketing at Roger’s Centre will be all over this. Okamoto mentioned missing his pregame Quesadilla ONCE and Kazadillas showed up within days.
@AjH75@KeeganMatheson He started the season giving up 1 run in like 39 innings. Thats not sustainable but this season he seems like he’s been figuring it out. And JoJo Parker likely blocks Nimmala much as I liked him. I think it’s pretty fair. (Soriano is also signed for 2 seasons)
@Koogs46 You know me. I bleed the blue and white. Trust me when I say that if it all goes to plan, your fave shortstop is gonna be a Canadian named Arjun. I wanted him for my guys. But if a haul got the Jays Soriano, I also hope your Halos got the guys that become great.
@Koogs46 Pretty much every Jays team in the early 2000s. There was a pretty solid reason it took
22 years for them to even return to the playoffs in 2015.
