Daddy of 2. Lesser half. Emergency Physician and Wellbeing type guy in Sydney. Luddite under renovation. Hoping to be kind (please tell me when I’m not).
I haven’t missed a World Cup game in 40 years. I won’t watch any from Qatar. I don’t care if England get to the final. A homophobic, sexist, human rights violating disaster of a place. Support FIFA in 2022 and spend decades scrubbing your conscience clean.
Excited to launch The Shame Conversation, a collab b/w colleagues @DukeU, @thisisblueline, & 6 courageous professionals who shared their #shame experiences on film
Our goal w/ #TheShameConvo? To change the culture of #medicine & #meded

@theblondeMD To err is human. Becky highlighted that men and women are equal in getting it wrong. I don’t think that’s a bad thing - feminism doesn’t mean being always right, it means being respected for your humanity not your gender.
Smudge, lying on my 6-burner, cuddling chilis in the sun. Picture taken by my daughter. Now I’m ready to take on the day (and the washing). Might have to wash those chilis though.
ACE - Learning from Excellence. Reminding each other that the greatest proportion of what we do is awesome. Reminding each other that we are in healthcare to be kind. Reminding each other that we are in it together.
When was the last time you acknowledged someone for a simple act of #kindness , or an action you admired? You might not even know them that well...ACE (Acknowledging a Colleague’s Excellence) program coming to @SydneyLHD RPA ED very soon #MDOK https://t.co/hlsu53racS
@ffolliet Yes. It’s called Safety 2 and it is everything we should be doing. Not just in Sim; in Quality Meetings (misnamed M&M), replying to incidents, answering complaints, giving a presentation....
@LizCrowe2@gracie_leo@ffolliet@DFTBubbles Yup. It took a long time to burn all my old presentations. But once you’ve seen the light.... The only problem is trying to listen to other presenters and ignore their busy slides. I might get a cap with a long peak.
@claski@patientsafe3@acemonline Have a poster in the WR and toilets explaining what all the colours of the scrubs mean. Most patients or family/friends will have some time to digest it. Patients often talk to each other while they are waiting too.
