I’ve been less active here on purpose lately, and now I’m done.
You can find me at 🟦. Just search my first name. There’s a good community building up over there.
In the meantime, have a listen:

I can see arguments for this. But, respectfully:
1. As real content leaves, the “enshittification” here will accelerate. Eventually the trolls will just be trolling each other.
2. The algorithm stifles most good content here. My somewhat smaller audience at 🟦 is more engaged.
I believe the scientific community abandoning Twitter is a mistake. I understand this is not a place for much good faith dialogue, but it’s a highly used public platform and leaving it to armies of paid disinformation actors, frauds, and armies of trolls to fill in information space is not strategic. The alternative platforms might be nice for internal discussions on niche issues, but they are not compelling as highly viewed sources.
@Megarhyssa Yeah, I'm reluctant to entirely leave due to relationships that I've built up over the years, and some great voices that still provide value. But I am taking things down a lot here, and working to build the community there. If you go over there, let me know so I can follow.
On National Bison Day, we celebrate this majestic symbol of strength and resilience. The bison represents our rich American heritage and is one of the greatest conservation success stories of all time.

54% of US adults cannot read at a 6th grade level.
The US today proves that you can have mass functional illiteracy and still have a successful - even thriving - economy.
But what you can't have with mass functional illiteracy is a successful democracy.
